Below you’ll find answers to the questions we get asked the most about applying for a course at Swangz Kreative Academy.
Courses at the Creative Academy typically range from 3-6 weeks.
When applying for any course, an applicant will be required to pay an application fee. Before classes commence, a trainee will be required to pay 100% of the course fees.
No, we do not directly offer scholarships to trainees. We however work with various funders in the field of creative arts and if these opportunities are available, they are made known to the public.
We currently do not directly offer job placements for trainees after graduation however, we keep a database of all trainees per course and leverage on these skills once an opportunity presents itself.
We advise trainees to apply to upto a maximum of two (2) courses at a time. This is because there is a time commitment required per course to warranty certification. The applicant should ensure that the courses applied for do not collide in timing and scheduling.
Each course offers skills that are highly sought after in the audio and visual production industry and they are listed within each individual course.
All courses are conducted by seasoned industry professionals in the audio and visual production industry.
The Swangz Creative Academy is accredited by the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) under the Ministry of Education and Sports. All courses are certificate courses and at the end of each course, a certified certificate of training will be issued to each trainee that has attended and participated in 90% of the course.
Classes are designed to be more hands-on oriented than typical lecture settings. Each course will employ 80% practical training methods and 20% theory and Q&A methodology.
A minimum age of 10 years and above is required to enter the academy.
Classes typically take place for 3 hours a day depending on the course schedule which can either be (8-11am, 2-5pm or 5-8pm). Classes are held Monday- Friday for varying durations per course. Some project-based courses have 8am-5pm classes running for 3-4 days a week.
